Upcoming infrastructure

With its popularity, Thonglor area continues to be developed. In Soi Thonglor, there are two large upcoming real estate projects by Origin Property. Staybridge Suites is 303-key hotel and serviced apartment while Park Thonglor is a mixed-use project on 13-rai of land (a former plot of Arena 10 Thonglor). The construction of the first phase of Park Thonglor which is a high-end residential component will start within 2018 and the whole project is expected to be completed by 2024.

At the corner of Soi Sukhumvit 40, T-One, a new 43,700-sq.m. office building by Tan Eng Asset, is expected to open in Q3 2018. It is definitely an upside for residential demand, both for sale and for rent in the neighbourhood.

The completion of Em District where the famous malls "The Emporium" and "The EmQuartier" at Phrom Phong Station is still underway. The Mall Group is planning “Emsphere,” the third shopping mall next to Benjasiri Park.

In addition to the upcoming developments in the area, property value in Thonglor is also expected to increase once the first phase of the Grey Monorail Line planned from Raminthra to Thonglor BTS Station operates. The environmental impact assessment study for the Grey Line has been completed and the construction of Phase 1 is expected to take 3 years.

The Grey Line will intersect with a number of other mass transit lines when all three phases are completed including the Pink Line, the Yellow Line, the Orange Line, the Light Red Line, and the Green Line at Thonglor BTS Station. The Grey Line is expected to carry around 140,000 daily commuters.
