Magnolia Quality Development Corporation
Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC) is a privately-held developer of high-rise condominiums and mixed-use projects in Thailand. Founded by Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, whose family owns Charon Pokphand (CP) Group, it's part of the DT Group of Companies, an international business and social organization. In 2016, Tanyatip Chearavanont founded One.Six Development Corporation Co. Ltd., which formed a joint venture with MDQC to develop The Strand Thonglor.
Company brands are Magnolias and Whizdom condominium and mixed projects. Joint ventures include The Residences at Mandarin Oriental condominium, and ICONSIAM – Riverside, a mixed-use project. Launches include Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard condominiums, Magnolias Southern California Bang Na and French Country (Khao Yai) detached home, Whizdom Asoke Sukhumvit, Whizdom Essence Sukhumvit, Whizdom Ratchada Tha Pra and Whizdom Connect Sukhumvit condominiums, and Whizdom The Great Good Place mixed-use project.
In 2016, MQDC partered with Siam Piwat Group to develop ICONSIAM. The integrated complex along Chao Phraya River includes retail outlets, a hotel and the Magnolias Waterfront Residences condominium. The company also announced plans for a large mixed-use project in Pattaya's Na Jomtien area. Plans were unveiled in 2017 for The Forestias, a 300 rai (119 acre) project including detached housing, condominiums, retail and office space and other amenities, plus a large forest ecosystem, scheduled to open in 2022.
In 2018, MQDC received several Thailand Property Awards for The Strand Thonglor, including Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design (Bangkok). Whizdom Connect Sukhumvit won a 2018 Agency for Real Estate Affairs Award for Outstanding High Rise Property. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental received a 2016 South East Asia Property Award for Best Residential Interior Design.
MQDC opened its Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) in 2017 to develop and promote sustainable building practices. The research team is led by designer and architect Dr. Singh Intrachooto, an Associate Professor of Building Innovation at Kasetsart University.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Visit Malaisirirat predicted that 2018 revenues would reach THB 20 billion, including THB 12 billion from the transfer of residential condominium units at ICONSIAM and Whizdom 101.
