Bang Na - Samrong

Stretching along Sukhumvit Road from Bang Na-Trat to Thepharak Road, this neighborhood has seen rapid growth since the BTS (Skytrain) was extended to Bang Na, Bearing and Samrong Stations.In 2021, Samrong will interchange with the new BTS Yellow Line. There's easy access to Suvarnabhumi International Airportvia the Bang Na-Trat Tollway.

The area is populated mostly by Thais, with a scattering of foreigners. Condominiums are in the range of THB 80,000–120,000 per square meter. Some recent projects are:

  • IDEO O2, THB 2.4–6.3 million
  • IDEO Mobi Sukhumvit Eastgate, THB 2.4–4.6 million
  • Supalai City Resort Bearing Station, THB 2.2–4.9 million
  • IDEO Sukhumvit 115, THB 2.19–3.49 million
  • The Forestias, a mixed-use project incorporating a forest ecosystem, set to open in 2022.

 

Summer Lasalle is an upcoming mixed-use project comprising office campuses, a community mall and a hotel. The first phase completed in 2018.

Hotels in this area are the Avana Bangkok Hotel, Monmanee Travel & Lifestyle Hotel, Clef Hotel, and Bangna Pride Hotel & Residence.

 

Several large shopping malls are in the area. Mega Bangna includes an IKEA and Big C Extra. Nearby is Central Plaza Bangna. Other neighborhood malls are Bangna Interchange Market, Chic Republic Bangna, Bizzo Bangna, Little Walk Bangna, Imperial World Samrong and Lucky Home Samrong.

The neighborhood is packed with dining choices. The Royal Dragon Restaurant has live performance and a staff of over 1,000. Other popular spots are View Dee (Thai), Krua Je Ngor and Four Seasons (Chinese), Angsila Seafood, Gyu Gyu Tei (yakiniku), Maguro Sushi and Zuru Japanese Delicious (sushi), Ribstory (steak), Gustoso, Wine I Love You and 7th Street Bar & Bistro (International), and Small Talk Cafe & Hangout.

East of the BTS are five golf courses: Bangna Navy, Napalai Housing, Summit Windmill and Muang Kaew, and Thana City Golf Course, as well as One-o-One and Golf Academy/Lasalle driving ranges. Nearby is Rama IX Park and Taco Lake adventure sports center.

Neighborhood churches include Bangna Christian Fellowship, Glory Buding Church, Grace Adventist Church, Jesus Christ Church, Grace Bangna Church and Unity Church.

Some local schools are: Bangkok Patana School, Attawit School, The American School of Bangkok, St. Andrews International School, Saint Joseph Bangna School, La Salle Bangkok School, Berkeley International School, Rungruang Wittaya School, Ratwinit Bangkaeo School, Montessori Academy Bangkok, Southeast Bangkok College and Ramkhamhaeng University Bang Na.

Several hospitals are within easy reach, including Kluaynamthai 2, Bangna General 1, Thai Nakarin, Manarom, Samrong General, Sikarin, Samrong General and Naval Hospital Bangkok.

Phrakanong - Onnut

“Phrakhanong–Onnut” is defined by the BTS (Skytrain) stations at either end, approximately Sukhumvit Soi 67–87 on the north, and 42/1–56 to the south. Residents are primarily Thais and middle-income Korean, Japanese and Western expatriates.

Ekkamai

Soi Ekkamai (Sukhumvit Soi 63), often considered an extension of the affluent Thonglor neighborhood, offers a more serene living environment. The neighborhood encompasses Sukhumvit Sois 59-65 and Soi 42.
